KNOTS

I used black and sepia oil sticks, turpentine as needed and butchers wrapping paper to play around with mark making. I had anyway been interested in the part of the rope that lay inside the knot, out of view. For larger studies in these media I had to set the butchers paper aside.

Viewers have told me the knots suggest emotional states. I see what they mean but I was just playing around.
